The 4 days Kidepo National Park safari is a short wildlife adventure that will take you to Kidepo Valley National Park, which is one of Africa’s most beautiful wilderness areas, located in the Karamoja region bordering South Sudan and Kenya. During this Uganda safari, you will be able to spot abundant wildlife species, including lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, zebras, cheetahs, hyenas, Uganda kobs, jackals, waterbucks, and different bird species like ostriches, kori bustards, and secretary birds, among others.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Gulu/Kitgum via Ziwa rhino sanctuary
Depending on your location, you will be welcomed by our driver guide, who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Gulu/Kitgum to cut the long journey short, as it’s a full day’s drive to Kidepo Valley National Park. On the way, you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking and then continue the journey with another stopover for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to Gulu/Kitgum and, upon arrival, check into the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park – afternoon game drive
You will have breakfast, check out of the hotel, and continue the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park with beautiful views of the scenery, landscape, and traditional homesteads, among others. Upon arrival, you will connect to the lodge for lunch, after which you will go for an afternoon game drive in the park, where you will look out for different animals like buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, oribi, topis, waterbucks, reedbucks, elands, Uganda kobs, Jackson’s hartebeest, kudus, and klipspringers, among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Morning game drive and transfer to Gulu/Kitgum
After an early breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from the lodge to transfer you to the park for a morning game drive where you will look out for predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, bat-eared foxes, hyenas, black-backed jackals, and caracals, among others, looking for a morning hunt and view other animals like buffaloes, elephants, wild dogs, bushbucks, bush duikers, warthogs, and elands, among others.
Later, drive back to the lodge for an early lunch, after which you will check out of the lodge and start the journey to Gulu/Kitgum. Upon arrival, check into the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Departure to Kampala/Entebbe
You will enjoy breakfast at leisure, check out of the hotel, and meet your driver-guide to start the journey back to Kampala, with lunch en route. Upon arrival, your driver-guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight or at any convenient location, bringing your 4 days Kidepo National Park safari to an end.
